More than looks
Siding is your home's raincoat
Cracked or loose siding lets wind-driven rain behind the wall, where it rots sheathing and framing out of sight.
Because we're roofers, we handle the places where siding meets the roof, windows and doors: the flashing, the drip edges and the trim. That's where most siding leaks start.
- Full replacement or repair of damaged sections
- House wrap and flashing done properly underneath
- Soffit, fascia and trim in the same job
- Manufacturer materials plus our workmanship guarantee
Materials
Siding options for Staten Island weather
Profiles include clapboard, Dutch lap, board-and-batten, cedar shake and scallop accents, with matching corners, window and door trim.
Vinyl
Affordable and low-maintenance, in a wide range of colors. Insulated vinyl adds efficiency and cuts outside noise.
Fiber cement
Plank, panel or shake profiles with a premium painted look, high durability and fire resistance.
Engineered wood
Realistic wood grain with built-in moisture protection.
Aluminum and steel
Clean, durable profiles for exposed walls and harsh weather.
Siding repair
Signs your siding needs work
- Warped, cracked, loose or soft panels
- Holes, dents or pieces blown off in a storm
- Peeling paint, bubbling or mold on the walls
- Drafts, damp interior walls or rising heating bills
- Faded, chalky color that won't clean up
- Repairs on the same wall again and again
One damaged area is usually a repair. Problems on several walls, or repairs that keep coming back, usually mean it's time to re-side.

Soffit & fascia
Soffit and fascia repair
The fascia board holds your gutters, and the soffit lets your attic breathe. When they rot, gutters pull away, water gets into the roof edge and animals get into the attic.

What we do
- Replace rotted fascia boards and soffit framing
- Wrap fascia in color-matched aluminum so it never needs paint
- Vented soffit panels to improve attic airflow and roof life
- Rehang or replace gutters on the new fascia

Worth adding
Do it once, do it together
- Insulated siding or underlayment for lower heating bills and a quieter house.
- New gutters so overflow doesn't stain or rot the new siding.
- Soffit ventilation to help the attic and the roof last longer.
- Accent walls in shake or board-and-batten for curb appeal.

FAQ
Siding questions
How long does a siding replacement take?
Most single-family homes take 2–5 days, depending on size, repairs underneath and weather.
Can you repair a few damaged panels instead of re-siding?
Often, yes. We replace the damaged pieces and match color and profile as closely as possible. If your siding is no longer made, we'll show you the closest options, or a way to re-side one wall so it all matches.
Do you have to tear off the old siding?
Not always. If the wall underneath is sound and code allows, an overlay can work. We usually recommend removal so we can check for rot and install a proper weather barrier, and we explain why.
Do you fix rot behind the old siding?
Yes. We photograph what we find and replace only the wood that needs it.
What affects the cost of new siding?
Wall area and number of stories, the material, profile and color, the trim package (soffit, fascia, window and door wraps), and any sheathing repair or insulation. You get a written quote with options.
Can you replace soffit and fascia at the same time?
Yes, and it's the best time to do it. See soffit and fascia below.
What maintenance does siding need?
Vinyl and metal need an occasional rinse. Fiber cement and engineered wood may need repainting over the years, following the manufacturer's guidance.
