Three layers of coverage
What protects your new roof
A qualifying B&B roof replacement is covered three ways.
Manufacturer materials coverage
Covers defects in the shingles and system components. With GAF Golden Pledge®, that is lifetime coverage with the first 50 years non-prorated.
Backed by the manufacturer
Manufacturer workmanship coverage
Golden Pledge® also covers installation errors (misapplication) for up to 25 years, or 30 years with qualifying shingles, non-prorated.
Backed by the manufacturer
B&B workmanship warranty
Our own warranty on the labor, written into your contract. If something we installed isn't right, you call the same owners who sold you the job.
Backed by B&B
GAF Golden Pledge®
The strongest warranty GAF offers
Most warranties only cover the shingles. Golden Pledge® also covers the installation, and GAF itself stands behind it.
| Golden Pledge® | Basic warranty | |
|---|---|---|
| Who backs it | GAF, a national manufacturer | Usually only the contractor |
| Material defects | Lifetime, 50 years non-prorated | Standard limited shingle warranty |
| Installation errors | Up to 25–30 years, non-prorated | Often 1–10 years, contractor only |
| Who can offer it | GAF Master Elite® contractors only | Any contractor |
| Inspection | GAF inspects the finished roof | None required |

What it takes
How a roof qualifies
- 1
A GAF Master Elite® contractor
GAF says only about 2% of US roofing contractors hold Master Elite® status, and only they can register Golden Pledge®.
- 2
A complete GAF roof system
Shingles plus the matching underlayment, starter strip, ridge caps and ventilation. Mixing brands voids the extended coverage.
- 3
A full tear-off
The old roof comes off down to the deck, so problems underneath are found and fixed.
- 4
Registration and inspection
We register the warranty with GAF, and GAF inspects the finished roof before issuing it.

Owens Corning roofs
We're also an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor and install Owens Corning shingle systems with their system warranties. The exact coverage for your roof is in your estimate, in writing.
Repairs, flat roofs, gutters and siding
Every job comes with written warranty terms for the materials and our workmanship. They depend on the work and the products, and we explain them before you sign, not after.
FAQ
Warranty questions
What is the GAF Golden Pledge® warranty?
It is GAF's strongest residential warranty. It covers manufacturing defects in the roof system for life, with the first 50 years non-prorated, and covers installation errors for up to 25 years (30 with qualifying shingles). Only GAF Master Elite® contractors can offer it.
Does every new roof get Golden Pledge®?
Golden Pledge® is available on qualifying full GAF roof systems with a tear-off. Repairs, partial roofs and flat roofs carry other warranties. Your estimate states exactly which warranty your job includes.
What does "non-prorated" mean?
It means the coverage doesn't shrink as the roof ages. Many basic warranties pay less every year; non-prorated coverage pays the same in year 20 as in year 2.
Is the warranty transferable if I sell my house?
GAF warranties can generally be transferred once to a new owner, which can help when you sell. GAF sets the transfer rules and time limits, and we'll walk you through them.
What about Owens Corning roofs?
As an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor we install Owens Corning roof systems with their system warranties. The exact coverage for your roof is given to you in writing with your estimate.
What is not covered?
Like any warranty, manufacturer coverage excludes things like storm damage beyond the shingles' wind rating, damage from other trades, and lack of basic maintenance. Storm damage is usually a homeowner's insurance matter. Read your warranty document for the full terms.
What do I need to do to keep my warranty valid?
Keep your paperwork, don't let other contractors alter the roof without telling us, and call us if you notice a problem. A quick look after a major storm is a good habit.
